I got my i-140 copy and I changed employer. now it is good that we can file 485 without help of employer, how do we make sure that previous employer revoked or cancelled my 140?

Forgot/didn't know about A# mentioned on my I-140 approval and did not mention it on I-485 application/EAD/AP. will it be an issue??
If it is mentioned in I-140 approval, do we supposed to write in I-485 and other applications? As I understand, A# is registration # and which is assigned when I-485 is accepted? Please somebody confirm it.

Whats the point of donating after you get your Green card? Donate now in place of later and you can benefit from your own donation...and IV can get that money sooner :)

My client is a TARP fund received bank.I am planning to go India for 3 weeks in may.My visa expires in Aug09.
I have new H1 extension for 3 years.
--If I go for visa stamping will it be a problem as I am workig for TARP received bank.
--If I don't go for visa stamping and planning to comeback with old visa, will it be a problem at Port Of Entry as my client is TARP received bank and I am on H1B.
you don't have to go to india to restamp your H1B. you can rather stay here and whenever you are going out of the country you need to get h1B stamped.
Regarding TARP received bank, the rules may even change when you had gone for a vacation. Its better not to go back during recession and most important keep your eye open for another job position.
I agree TARP revceived firms cannot renew H1B after 6 years or apply for GC. Those rules may change as per time. Most of the firms who like to hire H1B. So don't know whether it will get better or worst for your situation.

Talk to employer and tell him to your wages immediately. You shouldn't care about client or any one else. If you left the company then he should pay you withing 15 days. If he says he will pay after two months 3 months then he will just changed his address and you wont be able to track him down.
So talk to him and tell him if you dont receive a check in 1 week you will file a complaint in DOL wages and service division and also file a lawsuit in court too.
Its is just my openiopn

If you look at the forms page on the USCIS website, it says previous editions of the I-485 form accepted.

I have read that i can apply for a waiver even if im tested positive for herpes, is it true? If so, can any body please tell me what is the procedure? Do i need to do it when we are filing for 485, or is it a separate process?
Please guide me.

I couldn't get good rep 10-15 times i called USCIS to tell me more detail than what shows online. One thing i can think of is i was pregnant at the time of my medical and couldnt get xray done as my tb skin test showed positive.
So may be RFE for that. God Know. This waiting is killing me.

My attorney is saying they can file MTR on "USCIS's own motion" with that we don't have to pay the application fee of $585? This is something new to me, but I trust my attorney.
Has anyone else heard of this before? I just want to double check as the last thing I want is USCIS denying my MTR for not filing with the fee.

Let us see next month when EB2I will start getting lot of approvals. How many IV members contribute once they get GCs.
The problem here is, that once people get their GC, most cannot wait to get away from this site. I mean forget the actual Green Cards, even once the July 2nd filers got their EADs/APs etc, the activity on this forum has DRASTICALLY reduced.
Is it just me, or post the July 02 2007 filings, IV has been reduced to an "information only" kinda website BY ITS OWN MEMBERS? These days we simply post questions and expect answers, almost nothing seems to be happening. Everyone is content to enjoy the benefits of the I-485 filing and a lot of members have simply stopped visiting the site altogether.
So we can float this idea again, but the point is how many people will actually DO IT? I have started the "Give me a HIGH FIVE" campaign, where all the member has to do is contribute JUST $5.00. Yes JUST $5.00, nothing more. So far we have barely made $3,000. There are atleast 20,000 members who have no problems posting questions and "demanding" responses, but they cannot open their wallets even to the tune of $5.00. Do you really think, such members will contribute $100 AFTER they have already received their Green cards??

Yes, thats good news specially for the applicants in that region. In my opinion applicants from MP and Karnataka and AP will fall into that region I guess though not sure but just my 2 cents. Right now they just opened the office but I dont think they will be fully functional till mid-december 2008.
